Unplanned Pregnancy
If you have had unprotected sex you are at risk of falling pregnant. If you are concerned about being pregnant it is important to find out as soon as possible so that you have plenty of time to think about what is best for you.
Pregnancy tests are available for purchase at most supermarkets and chemists, or you can contact a local Family Planning Queensland clinic or your General Practitioner about having a test and talking about pregnancy issues.
Planned or unplanned pregnancy, you do have options available to you and decisions will need to be made within a short period of time.
Options include:
- Continuing with the pregnancy and keeping the baby
- Termination of pregnancy
- Continuing with the pregnancy and placing the baby for adoption
No matter what you decide it is a good idea to talk to qualified people who will be able to provide you with accurate, up-to-date and relevant information about all options.
For information and appointments, contact your nearest FPQ centre, or see the related information below.
