Yarrabah Sexual Assault Project Officer (30 hours per week, 9 month contract)

FPQ offers clinical, education, information services throughout Brisbane, Cairns, Townsville, Rockhampton, Bundaberg, Sunshine Coast, Ipswich, Toowoomba and the Gold Coast. Are you the right person for the position of Yarrabah Sexual Assault Project Officer?
The ideal candidate for the role of Project Officer must have:
- High level interpersonal oral and written communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to communicate sensitively and effectively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people
- Experience in information retirieval, synthesis and dissemination for program, staff and community development
- Experience in consultation and collaboration with relevant government and community organisations
- Understanding of the impacts of sexual assault and childhood sexual abuse and sensitivity to those impacts in community research
- A positive notice - 'Working with Children Check' administered by the Qld Commission for Children and Young People and Child Guardian
- Computer literacy in word processing, email and spreadsheet software programs
