Yarrabah Sexual Assault Project Officer (30 hours per week, 9 month contract)

Are you the right person for the position of Yarrabah Sexual Assault Project Officer?
The ideal candidate for the role of Project Officer must have:
- High level interpersonal oral and written communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to communicate sensitively and effectively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people
- Experience in information retirieval, synthesis and dissemination for program, staff and community development
- Experience in consultation and collaboration with relevant government and community organisations
- Understanding of the impacts of sexual assault and childhood sexual abuse and sensitivity to those impacts in community research
- A positive notice - 'Working with Children Check' administered by the Qld Commission for Children and Young People and Child Guardian
- Computer literacy in word processing, email and spreadsheet software programs
