Health Promotion and Education Officer – Cairns (22.8 hours per week)

Are you the right person for the position?
The successful applicant/s will develop and implement sexuality and relationship education programs and projects for various professional and comunity groups in Far North Queensland.
Salary and hours will be negotiated with the successful applicant depending on qualifications and experience.
The ideal candidate for the role of Health Promotion and Education Officer must have:
- Skills in the development, delivery and evaluation of community education programs
- Skills in the delivery and evaluation of training programs for professionals
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Relevant qualifications and experience in education and/or training.
- Experience in consultation and collaboration with relevant government and community organisations, and the development of partnerships
- Experience working within education and/or disability services settings
- Computer literacy in word processing, email and spreadsheet software programs
- A positive notice - 'Working with Children Check' administered by the Qld Commission for Children and Young People and Child Guardian
- Evidence of immunity to Hepatitis B
- A driver’s licence and some intrastate travel and out of hours work
Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment will be highly regarded.
