Sessional Medical Officer - Part time
Family Planning Queensland (FPQ) is a unique Queensland organisation offering services in the area of sexual and reproductive health. FPQ provides clinical services, education, training, information and advice related to sexual and reproductive health.
FPQ is seeking 1 doctor to work up to 7 hours/week in the Rockhampton clinic. A recognised Family Planning certificate is essential.

Position Objectives:
To provide specialised medical care, education and training in the area of reproductive and sexual health in accordance with clinical guidelines and policies of FPQ.
Responsible to:
- Clinic Coordinator (operational issues)
- Senior Medical Officer (professional issues)
Collaborates with:
- All members of the clinic team
Duties and Responsibilities:
Service Delivery
- Provide sexual and reproductive health clinical services, in accordance with FPQ Clinical Practice Guidelines.
- Collaborate with FPQ nurses to ensure effective and timely clinical service provision.
- Assist with the development and review of FPQ clinical protocols and standards as required.
- Participate in FPQ research projects as appropriate.
- Participate in the delivery of theoretical and practical training provided for health professionals by Family Planning Queensland as required.
- Participate in professional development and quality assurance activities .
Other Conditions
- Evidence of immunity to Hepatitis B. Minimum requirement to commence employment will be the first vaccination having been undertaken and agreement to complete the vaccination course and provide evidence of immunity within 9 months.
Information and Communication Technology (ICT)
- Utilise the SHIP programme to produce quality data and efficient client management systems .

FPQ Medical Officers- Level 2 - 3
FBT exempt salary packaging available.
