Position objectives:
- Responsible for coordinating facilities to ensure FPQ’s operations are adequately supported
- Contribute significantly to the Workplace Health and Safety program.
- Provide support services as a member of the Corporate Services team.

Duties and responsibilities:
Property and equipment
- Coordinate the repairs and maintenance of FPQ premises and equipment taking account of service agreements and warranties using external contractors – out of hours attendance is not a requirement
- Develop and maintain registers for lease renewals, annual services, assets, equipment and other facility requirements
- Develop and maintain a Facilities procedures manual
- Develop and maintain an effective communication network with Regional Centres
- Assist, support and advise Regional Centres with local facility repairs and maintenance and other facility requests
- Supervise the day to day and periodic cleaning duties for the Brisbane premises
- Ensure fire services requirements are met with respect to regular testing of equipment, emergency lights and exits
- Manage internal and external telephone software system queries and liaise with the Information Technology team
- Source services that provide the most cost-effective outcome for FPQ
- Dispose of surplus assets
Workplace Services
- Respond to furniture and equipment moving requests from senior staff members - arrange moving using external contractors
- Develop and manage training facilities for internal and external bookings
- Contribute to the workplace health and safety program
Records management
- Develop and coordinate the records management systems in relation to storage, archiving and confidential disposal within FPQ guidelines
Workplace Health & Safety
- Follow up promptly on injuries to ensure a quick return to work
- Develop, coordinate and maintain written Emergency Evacuation Procedures for all centers
- Co-ordinate regular evacuation drills
- Complete documentation in relation to Workplace Health & Safety
- Coordinate workplace representatives at each region
- Ensure FPQ meets legislative requirements
Other
- Supervise the activities of the Cleaner
- Participate in quality assurance programs
- Other duties as instructed by the Corporate Services Manager
Selection criteria
To be successful, the applicant will need to demonstrate the following skills, abilities and attributes:
- Well developed organisational skills, with the ability to manage and prioritise workloads to meet competing deadlines
- Well developed interpersonal and communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and with external service providers
- Ability to work effectively within a small administration and multidisciplinary team to achieve quality, accurate outcomes and with a willingness to assist others
- Demonstrated knowledge or the ability to rapidly acquire knowledge of computerised software packages such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Internet and Outlook

Remuneration:
Salary: $24,091 - $26,023 pa (plus 9% Occupational Superannuation)
