Position objectives:
- Responsible for the effective management of FPQ’s corporate services in the areas of human resources, payroll, information and communications technology, administration and facilities maintenance
- Contribute to strategic direction of the organisation

- Senior Administration Officer – Payroll/HR
- Facilities Coordinator
- Cleaner

Collaborates with:

- Finance Manager
- Director of Education and Communication Services
Duties and responsibilities:
Human Resource/Staffing
- Responsible for recruitment, performance and staff development for corporate services staff
- Responsible for overseeing the FPQ payroll system and the relevant data entry requirements
- Coordinate professional development activities for Corporate Services staff
- Coordinate employment-related human resources activities and staff remuneration processes for the organisation
- Develop, coordinate and monitor various human resources systems including staff appraisals, staff training, staff orientation and job applications
- Maintain a reminder system for professional and medical indemnity renewals
- Prepare letters of employment and distribute employment packs
- Apply and interpret industrial awards and employment legislation as they apply to FPQ
- Ensure security of staff records
Finance
- Develop and monitor Corporate Services budgets
- Authorise expenditure within delegation
- Review and monitor Corporate Services activities to ensure efficient service delivery within allocated budgets
- Prepare funding submissions when required
- Assist with the preparation of reports and funding submissions for the organisation
- Coordinate the organisation’s insurance arrangements with respect to general, professional indemnity, workers’ compensation and volunteers
Information and Communications Technology
- Oversee the development and coordination of information and communications technology systems and policies in consultation with IT officers
- Maintain an effective disaster recovery plan to safeguard data and systems
- Convene regular user group meetings in consultation with IT officers
Administration
- Support the CEO in administrative duties and report preparation as required
- Respond to requests for assistance from FPQ managers in relation to administrative matters
- Coordinate the executing of FPQ contracts
Maintenance
- Responsible for the effective functioning of FPQ facilities
- Responsible for facilitating the effective maintenance, repair and cleaning of centre property
Workplace Health & Safety
- Provide services and maintain registration as Workplace Rehabilitation Co-coordinator and workplace Health and Safety Officer
- Review and update policies & procedures to ensure workplace accreditation with Qcomp
- Follow up promptly on injuries to ensure a quick return to work
- Develop, coordinate and maintain written Emergency Evacuation Procedures for all centers
- Co-ordinate regular evacuation drills
- Complete documentation in relation to Workplace Health & Safety Management
- Contribute to the strategic direction of the organisation
- Contribute to the development of and implementation of organisational policies with respect to administration, human resources and information systems
- Represent FPQ at relevant external committee meetings and functions
Selection criteria
To be successful, the applicant will need to demonstrate the following skills, abilities and attributes:
- Demonstrated capacity to lead a small team and to participate at a management level in the achievement of the organisation’s overall objectives, through the provision of considered advice and expert opinion pertaining to the corporate services area
- Demonstrated ability to work within and contribute to the value system of the organisation
- Proven experience in managing and leading a corporate services area within an organisation. In particular outlining your work in relation to:
- Human Resources
- Information Technology
- Facilities Management
- Workplace Health & Safety
- HR legislative requirements
- Cost Centre Management
- Demonstrated experience in overseeing small projects within an organisation and supervising staff to ensure these projects are completed on time and on budget
- Give examples that demonstrate your ability to collect and interpret data and to use these data in the preparation of well written reports
- Discuss your industrial relations experience, in particular your knowledge of the processes around negotiating work place agreements

Remuneration:
Salary: $64,252 pa (plus 9% Occupational Superannuation)
