Provide a range of clinical services to clients attending FPQ clinics utilising a specialist body of knowledge and clinical expertise. Services include:

Selection Criteria

Essential

  1. Current registration with the Queensland Nursing Council as a registered nurse.
  2. Completion of a Family Planning or Sexual Health certificate course, or equivalent, or willingness to obtain within designated time frame.
  3. A clear understanding of current issues in the area of sexual and reproductive health.
  4. Demonstrated high level interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to lead a multi-disciplinary team.
  5. Demonstrated ability to exercise judgement and initiative to manage a range of responsibilities within a clinical environment.
  6. Ability and willingness to identify and implement service improvement strategies including use of effective systems.
  7. Demonstrated competency in using word processing and email, and the ability to utilise other software as required.
  8. An understanding of contemporary human resource management issues including:
    • Workplace health and safety
    • Equal employment opportunity
    • Anti-discrimination practices and behaviours as applied in the working environment.

Desirable

  1. Clinical experience and expertise in sexual and reproductive health care.
  2. Endorsed under Sexual and Reproductive Health Program or willingness to work towards it.
